Ardeche Adventure 2026

We've been three times before to this Acorn Venture Centre in France, and you can see some of our adventures in the pictures above.

But it was something we never again expected to be able to offer, as it would normally require a group booking of 30+ and we do struggle to get larger numbers.

However, Acorn have offered us places on an exclusive Scout week at their centre with coaches running from Scotland allowing multiple Scout Groups to take part with individual numbers well below the normal minimum. It means that we won't have to worry about getting to a minimum number.

So, we'd like to offer it to our Scouts and Explorers

It's an opportunity to take part in an amazing camp in the Ardeche Region of southern France. Genuinely delivering for adventure-seekers, the unique highlight is:

• an amazing two-day river trip, canoeing down the Ardeche River, in the spectacular Ardeche Gorge, with a bivouac stop-over and spending a night under the stars.

Back at the campsite, other activities include:

• a tree-top trail
• caving
• high ropes
• archery and more!

Plus:

• Staying in a tented village within a secure campsite
• All meals provided
• There's a swimming pool and cafe
• Include an excursion day to a local attraction and
• an evening visit to the to the open-air market in the local small town of Ruoms

And as you would expect, the weather is generally hot and sunny!

Yes, the coach trip there and back is quite long, but can also be great fun - with movies, regular stops and the ferry crossing! We would expect to leave late on Saturday 25 July and return in the morning of Monday 03 August.

We'll also be with Scouts from other parts of Scotland, so we should have a mini-jamboree atmosphere and an opportunity for new friendships.

This package will cost £900 - with just some personal spending in addition. A £50 deposit to secure a place and no more payments until after 2025 summer holidays.

We'll be able to offer sibling discounts plus we'd be looking to put in a working hours programmes to allow further reductions through the youngsters' own efforts.
