Scouts - 10½ to 14 years

Jump in and get muddy. Give back and get set. Scouts ignore the butterflies and go for it, and soon so will you.

Scouts are a go-getting group of young people aged 10 ½ to 14. They meet together every week to:

  • Master new skills and try new things
  • Make new friends
  • Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad
  • Explore the world around them
  • Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond

and when you join Scouts, you’ll be introduced to lots of new activities, people and things.

Importantly, Scouts say yes more often than they say no - whether they’re taking part in their first ever camp away from home or writing their first line of code or accepting the last of the toasted marshmallows.

We have a whole range of awards and challenges. Scouts start small but think big, always challenging themselves to do more and be more. It starts with an award. Who knows where it might lead? Master something you love or try something shiny and new. If it spurs you on or stirs your interest, we’ve probably got a badge for it

Take part in exciting trips and visits, go on regular camps - for a weekend or for a week or two! We try to have a Summer Camp every year, often in the UK, but we also offer the chance to take part in international travel. Many of our Scouts have been on camps abroad - including Florida USA, Paris and to the south of France, Italy and Switzerland.

We're looking forward to Summer Camp at Brecon Beacons - our first since 2019.
